These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the GetLancers platform and website, located at https://getlancers.com ("the Platform"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Services Provided

GetLancers connects freelancers ("Freelancers") with businesses or individuals ("Clients") seeking professional services. Freelancers can offer a wide range of services, and Clients can post job listings, review proposals, and hire freelancers.

3. User Registration

To use the Platform, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. User Conduct

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.

  • Post or share content that is fraudulent, misleading, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.

  • Attempt to disrupt the services or interfere with the security or functionality of the Platform.

  • Engage in behavior that may harm the reputation of GetLancers or other users.

5. Payment Terms

  • Freelancer Payments: Clients will pay Freelancers for the services rendered according to the agreed-upon rate, payment terms, and conditions.

  • Platform Fees: GetLancers charges a service fee for each transaction made through the platform. The fee structure will be clearly outlined before payment is processed. The service fee will be deducted from the Freelancer’s earnings.

  • Escrow Services: For certain projects, GetLancers may hold payments in escrow until the project is completed and both parties are satisfied with the outcome.

  • Refunds and Disputes: If a dispute arises, the Platform will mediate to resolve the issue. Refunds may be issued if the work does not meet the agreed-upon requirements or the contract is canceled under specific circumstances.

6. Confidentiality

Both Freelancers and Clients agree to maintain the confidentiality of all private information shared during the course of the project. This includes, but is not limited to, personal data, business details, and proprietary information.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Freelancer Content: Freelancers retain ownership of the work they create unless otherwise agreed in writing. Upon full payment for the project, the Client may obtain rights to use the deliverables as specified in the project agreement.

  • Platform Content: All content provided by GetLancers (e.g., logos, design, software) remains the property of GetLancers and is protected by copyright laws.

8. Termination of Account

GetLancers reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms and Conditions, engage in fraudulent activities, or fail to comply with Platform guidelines. Freelancers and Clients can also terminate their accounts at any time by contacting support@getlancers.com or via their account settings.

9. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between a Freelancer and a Client, both parties should attempt to resolve the issue amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, the Platform offers a dispute resolution process. If the dispute is not resolved through mediation, the Platform may involve a third-party arbitrator, and the decision made by the arbitrator will be final.

10. Limitations of Liability

GetLancers is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or business opportunities.

  • Errors or omissions in the content.

  • Delays in project completion.

Freelancers and Clients agree to use the Platform at their own risk.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

By using GetLancers, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and adhering to applicable data protection laws.

12. Changes to These Terms

GetLancers reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Continued use of the Platform after any changes will constitute acceptance of those changes.

13. Governing Law
